Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Edith (Eric) Kervin, Head of Chezzetcook June Ferguson, Timberlea son, Gordon, Dartmouth brothers, Eric, Howard (Betty), Dartmouth Wilfred (Christine), Vancouver Kenneth (Anne), Ontario seven grandchildren nine great-grandchildren manbny nieces and nephews. A friend to all, she will be missed by her family and many friends. She loved to bowl and play darts and was a member of the 70-80 Club. Mary Ann was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 161, Gaetz Brook and the ladies auxiliary for many years. Born January 20, 1922, in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Hickman) Denty. Burial will be in Upper Wentworth Cemetery. Thursday, both in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, Rev. granddaughter, Rebecca Herret, Amherst nieces and nephews and his many friends. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother, Ken Betts, Truro daughter, Carol and husband Bob Hyslop, Wentworth grandson, Rob Herret, Gander, Nfld. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pearl Slater daughter, Betty Cross. He enjoyed working with his hands and made several fiddles. He was an honorary member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association, Tatamagouche, a member of the Hills of Annand Seniors, and the Y Seniors Citizens Group in Truro. He loved music and played banjo regularly at seniors' dances in Tatamagouche and Truro, at nursing homes in the area and this past summer, with his friends at the old Valley school house in Wentworth. He spent his later years at the Hills Of Annand Seniors' complex in Tatamagouche. He worked at the Enterprise Foundry in Sackville, N.B, for a number of years and then at several garages in Wentworth, Truro, and Lower Debert. After a childhood in Wentworth, he studied sheet metal work and during the war was employed at Canada Car in Amherst. and Bertha (Mattinson) Betts (Wentworth). Born in Pugwash, he was a son of the late Carrold R. Bernard - Tatamagouche, passed away October 22, 2002, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
